The mansard roof is Creeping out of the snow This little life moves slow The city lights stream Down on every street This little life feels sweet (Time is all that we need) (Lookin' down the street, lookin' down the street) City living stuck in a bubble (Time is all that we need) (Lookin' down the street, lookin' down the street) Don't act now you might get in trouble (x8)

Run down downtown club Lights are broken but Bass pumps through the walls Night life feeling calls Run down downtown club Windows smashed in but Sound fills all the air Night life with no care There's nobody here (x8)

Scratched up pick guards All hanging on guitars Chips of paint off the side Sitting alone in snow And rotting fallen leaves Remembering old times [Chorus: Empty Arizonas And picks all around Couldn't find a better place to live. The park is the same As it was last year Some things just dont change] No alarm clock anymore Stayed up late writing Never gave a care for time The benches are half wrecked Time and weather worn It's never anything new [Chorus] The park is a pathway A walkway of memories History in the making History in the making History in the making (x4)

Strange Now 03:51
Lazy days, filled with loneliness and Lazy nights, wishing I was different Once again, thinkin' on my own I'm All alone Never days, when it's not complicated Thats okay, I know that I'm jaded Once again, thinkin' on my own I'm All alone (All alone) [Chorus: Never knew, never knew, never knew Just how Everything, everything, everything Is strange now (x2)] Lazy days, ironic you said "see ya" Lazy nights, filled with paranoia Once again, thinkin' on my own I'm All alone Never days, when its not complicated That's okay, I know that I'm jaded Once again, thinkin' on my own I'm All alone (all alone) [Chorus]

Skylit Dream 04:53
I'm looking out this window But I'm not really here Out there they can't see me, though From my view way up here Can't bring myself to see the way I used to be Don't care about those days anyway, that guy's not me [Chorus: No one sees me, this time of year I'm living on a dream, way up here Living in a skylit dream (x2)] I'm walking through these memories Listen what they say Then I feel that cold breeze Hope I'm not here to stay Can't bring myself to see the way that I'm gonna be Maybe I can't wait for those days, hope this betters me [Chorus] Living in a skylit dream (Skylit dream) (x2)

Is it just me? Am I right now? Or is time just me? I'm thinking of how. Why does no one see, When I'm making this vow? On the count of three, We'll rock this place down. [Chorus : Are you okay? (Time will tell, time will tell) What did you say? (Time will tell, time will tell) Is this okay? (Time will tell) Am I okay?] Is it just me? Is she beautiful? Or is it just me...? My thoughts are plentiful. Why can't you see? My words are meaningful. I hope you agree. Will I ever reach my goal? [Chorus] I know that you know These words tell my tale I don't know if they know They don't know the whole tale You know that I know These strings tell the tale You don't know if i know They don't our tale [Chorus]
9.
Streets at night Walking alone Nothing's right So much unknown Light shimmers On wet ground Rain glimmers All around [Chorus: Nostalgic wind The smell of rain Stormy nights Going insane (x2)] One last walk Through the parkway We struggle to talk Nothing to say Fond memories Of days gone by A biting breeze One last goodbye [Chorus] Looking down I watch my feet Leaving town I watch the street Try to move on They always say But now she's gone I'm not okay [Chorus]
10.
Fans turning backwards Forwards, back Clocks going right Turning left, and back This drum is hit in And the sound hits back When fire is lit The darkness jumps back The senses repeating The senses repeating again ... The senses repeating The senses repeating again

about

Thanks for listening to our first CD as Wave One! This is a project that began two years ago on the night before Warped Tour ’09. Aiming to create a nostalgic and atmospheric track, we created a song entitled “A Time We All Forgot” under the artist name Tryp. It wasn’t until a year later in the summer of 2010 that we came back to the project, creating two new songs, “Dark Jungle Mind” and “The Senses Repeating”. Regrouping later that summer, we completed the rest of the album in just about two weeks.
We started these two weeks with “Time Will Tell”, leading the project in a more “pop” direction than previously planned. We met almost every day to write and record, letting the empty Arizona cans pile around, cranking out one or two songs each time; “City Living (Little Life)” and “Skylit Dream”, “History in the Making”, “Strange Now” and “A Night Like This One”, “Downtown Club”, and lastly “Nostalgic Wind”. The name Wave One refers our ability to think on the same wave of thought in order to collaborate in our song writing.
Over the course of the school year, the album had many delays in release due to the long process of creating the art for the booklet included in the physical CD (please consider buying a copy, making them was expensive!) and occasional tweaking of songs. It’s been nearly a year since the album was technically finished, but now it’s more finished, and we both agree that it is a much better album because of the delays. The result of all our efforts is an eclectic and exciting album with no two songs that sound the same, a journey of music. We sincerely hope you like this album as much as we loved making it. Happy listening!

Much love,
Wave One (Clinton Burgos & David Estes-Smargiassi)

P.S., credit to Rose Gallogly for the artwork, Connor Higgins for the intro to Skylit Dream, Victoria Fitzsimmons for the title of Nostalgic Wind that inspired the song, and all of our friends for influencing our work in varying manners and degrees.
